Business Confidence in Regional NSW is highest in 9 years

10 Apr Business Confidence in Regional NSW is highest in 9 years

According to the latest Sensis Business Index, small and medium sized businesses in regional NSW are more confident about their future than they have been for the last nine years, up 36 points. Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW and Small Business John Barilaro said in his July 2017 press release, he believes this is a result of the Government’s investment in regional NSW.

“It shows business in regional NSW is positive on all indicators with business owners expecting improved sales and profitability over the October-December quarter,” Mr Barilaro said.

Business owners across various industries I personally speak with indicate there is improved consumer confidence which flows on to business owners’ confidence with opportunities for profit, growth and jobs in business.

There are still business owners who try to ‘go it alone’ however there is such good business support on offer now that no-one needs to guess how to do business, although they often say in hindsight they were embarrassed initially to ask for help. Their experience soon changed their minds with workshops providing opportunities to meet other business owners who likewise thought they were the only ones having ‘that’ problem.
